In the News: A wrongful death lawsuit was recently resolved in Butte County Superior Court for the death of Matthew Carrington. 21 year old Chico State University student Carrington died as the result of hazing from fellow Delta Sigma Phi members. In a criminal trial, the fraternity members pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and hazing. The civil trial for Carrington’s death, filed by his brother and ex-wife, seeks $100 million and is still pending.
