Spring Valley is a village in the Town of Ramapo, located in Rockland County in the state of New York. Incorporated in 1902, Spring Valley has a population of about 26,000. It is located 22 miles north of Manhattan and five miles north of the border of New Jersey. It is considered by locals to be one of the more urban areas in the county.
