Education of Nicholas J. Solan

Mr. Nicholas J. Solan took an unusual path towards his law career: he got an undergraduate degree in systems engineering from the University of Virginia, where he was an active children’s basketball coach, a tutor, and a member of Pi Kappa Phi. As graduation neared, he couldn’t quite see himself using his systems engineering degree, so he went to law school without regret.

While at the George Mason University Law School, he studied on the litigation track, participated in the George Mason Domestic Relations Clinic, and was a member of the Civil Rights Law Journal. He graduated cum laude. He has since continued to support his law school through participation in the Mason Veterans and Service Members Legal Clinic, where he has provided pro bono representation to servicemembers.

Law Career of Nicholas J. Solan

Mr. Nicholas J. Solan has been running Solan Alzamora, PLLC with his partner, Mr. Jacob Alzamora, since 2011. He is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, including past active participation in the Fairfax Bar Association’s pro bono programs such as the Housing Law Project and Wills on Wheels.
