I've been with LegalMatch for 10 years now. It's been very successful.

LegalMatch allows my firm to get its name out there on the internet and to a lot of potential clients. Clients tell me that when they go online to look for an attorney, they'll Google it and LegalMatch pops up. It has good positioning online.

One of the principal benefits that I try to bring to the clients, that is quite successful, is I move the case as fast as I can. I get it to a point where the client has to make a decision whether they want to go to trial or try to settle the case. A lot of clients appreciate that.

At the end of the day, you're trying to get justice, but you have to do it economically. I try to closely communicate with the client so they know what's going on. Then at the appropriate time, with my advice, the client naturally has to fish or cut bait. They appreciate that because of the speed with which they get to that decision where they're going to get half a loaf or roll a dice and go to trial to see if they can get the full thing.

If you are a LegalMatch attorney, you know in a sense that LegalMatch is your client. Though technically, they're not, you know in a sense they are because they're helping you with your marketing and you need to view it that way.

I joined LegalMatch because it appealed to me from a marketing standpoint. I wanted to have a greater presence online and advertise the firm to the public. LegalMatch seemed like a perfect fit for that. I've been quite pleased with the marketing impact that it had on my firm. It has been very good and I'm very happy with it!

I would absolutely recommend LegalMatch to others 100 percent. For new attorneys, just make sure you're responsive to the clients and try to have an appreciation of the economics of the law because most clients care about and appreciate that.

LegalMatch Provides the Marketing Strategy

Attorneys have to be responsive to the client not only in communication, but on the economics of the service that they're providing. If they do that, the young attorney will have satisfied clients. They'll get repeat business and it's a good reflection on the young attorney's service and their firm.

I think LegalMatch would like to know if the attorney who represents the client is being responsive and is providing legal services that are competent and at an economical cost. It's also a good reflection on LegalMatch because they're a LegalMatch council and attorneys obtain the client through the marketing assistance of LegalMatch.

When LegalMatch cases come in on the computer, I try to respond as quickly as possible, especially with a lot of marketing online nowadays.

You don't want to wait a day or two to respond because everybody's moving a lot faster now than a decade or two ago. You have to monitor your computer and try to be as responsive as you can. Then, get back to the LegalMatch lead on the same day or the following morning.

LegalMatch Memberships Are Profitable

LegalMatch has made a positive contribution to my business. It is profitable and the revenues exceed the expense!

Our firm is a big boutique firm and its focus is on state and federal court litigation, contracts, and torts. We do quite a bit of transaction law here, as well.

We form limited liability companies, corporations, partnership agreements. We advise builders and developers on development agreements and various issues regarding contracts, and lean priority rights. We also do living trusts and powers of attorney, and general consultation in the area of contracts towards fraud claims negligence.

In some cases, when I just don't think it justifies hiring a full-time lawyer, going back to the economics of the law, I will give clients advice on the phone. I don't even charge them. I give them free advice, but they're sometimes just astounded that they could chat with an attorney for 10 minutes and get some practical advice.

That's a great reflection on LegalMatch! It's also a great reflection on our firm. They think LegalMatch is a great service because they got to talk to an attorney. I want clients to hire me, but I'm not going to do it unless it makes sense economically for the client and it's the same in the transaction area.

If it's a contract document or some type of a transaction document, then I'm going to charge on an hourly basis or in a flat fee. If it makes more sense to charge on a flat fee, so the client knows the price, then that's what I'm going to do.

It's all about communication and the economics.

That’s what a lot of clients out there are looking for in the legal community. They want to get legal advice at an economical cost and that's what I try to bring.

LegalMatch Produces a Number of Prospective Clients

There are a number of prospective clients on LegalMatch. I would probably get in a five-day business week, three to five leads. Out of those leads, I might get one and the next week I might get two. That's the average. You might get one that's bigger that runs you out for a year or so.

The typical cases are consultations on small contracts. Sometimes it's something that's limited to what clients are asking you to do. It could be five hundred dollars or could be a couple grand. Every once in a while, you'll get one through LegalMatch. That is more significant and it does happen so you stay with it!

The best features that I bring on behalf of my firm and LegalMatch is my assistance to clients. It's not only the results that I bring. In litigation, you can't win them all. Sometimes you've just dealt with a bad hand and you do the best that you can with it.

Because of the LegalMatch system, I readily discern the damages in the cases when clients call in. You always know at the end of the day that you're weighing the risk of going to trial and the uncertainty in the additional attorney's fees to the client. You have to weigh that against the certainty of a settlement.

I tell clients about the certainty of a settlement when you get half a loaf versus continuing to pay attorney's fees for the expenditure of time and then the risk and there's no guarantee, you can prevail a lot of times.

LegalMatch Brings in Leads Despite the Pandemic

A plus during COVID-19, LegalMatch is an online service and that’s good for me. A lot of businesses unfortunately have suffered. A lot have gone out of business or sustained heavy losses during the Covid crisis. Most people want the country to get back to its business.

We've got to play smart. The online business is doing well through COVID-19. I'm just glad we have the technology for that. LegalMatch fills that need and there's more of a need for our online services now than there was before given the COVID problem.

I have a website that LegalMatch has helped during the COVID-19 problem and any online marketing or client sourcing is a real plus especially during the pandemic. I have most of my business from word of mouth, but online marketing always helps and it's even better during a pandemic when a lot of businesses are not operating.

Good Online Exposure Helps

LegalMatch does a good job on their own. I like their positioning online. When the consumers inquire, LegalMatch gets a lot of hits.

Just knowing that I have an online marketing source to add to my website and getting the regular inquiries coming in is a benefit to the firm. It's nice to know that we're going to have this fairly consistent and constant stream of inquiries each week.

I sometimes tell clients that they don't need the expense of an attorney and I show them how they can do it on their own because of the economics of the law. Now I only do it depending on the amount that's on the table because at the end of the day, if I'm economical and I can give them sound advice, in the long run they're going to think a lot more about my firm. They're going to think a lot more about LegalMatch.

The client hangs up thinking there's an attorney who cares about the economics of the law, who cares about their situation and cares about the cost. A lot of people really like that a lot and that's a good reflection on LegalMatch.

That’s enough for the client to undertake a business calculation and decide to settle. But there are a lot of cases where they decide not to settle and they prefer to go all the way and go to trial and I'm happy to do that.

That's absolutely the best long-term approach to take. People appreciate that approach and at the end of the day that's good for my firm and it's good for LegalMatch. I really appreciate everything it does.
