LegalMatch is good at providing consistent leads that fit within the criteria of my practice area...with many cases that I would be looking to actually do versus other lead generating sources that I've experienced.
I joined LegalMatch because one of the law firms I was associated with had already been using it, so I became familiar with it through them and I've continued it on my own now. Generally speaking, I am happy with the services provided through their website.
I believe that the leads are fairly consistent in terms of the quantity and quality compared to other lead generating services and sources that I've used. The potential clients have either a combination of good types of cases that I'm looking for and/or the resources needed to retain attorneys to help them.
LegalMatch is good at providing consistent leads that fit within the criteria of my practice area, which is family law in Orange County, with many cases that I would be looking to actually do versus other lead generating sources that I've experienced.
LegalMatch does not give you sources that are not in your practice area. They also try to filter out the leads from people that are not serious or do not have the ability or understanding that they have to pay for an attorney. Those are key characteristics of LegalMatch that I've noticed.
I've used LegalMatch with my previous law firm since 2015. Then on my own practice, I’ve used it a little bit over a year now. I don't know the total numbers, but I received a lot of business through LegalMatch and it's helped me grow my practice and experience. It's been good and I hope to continue and keep it going.
LegalMatch has helped my firm become successful in a couple of ways that stand out. It's provided me opportunities to work on cases that provided income which has built up my business and made it bigger. In addition, the experience I’ve gained is good.
It's also taught me how to contact leads. I think that's a big aspect of it too because the leads are there, but you have to call. LegalMatch also gives out techniques and strategies to make the client-matching process effective in terms of leads. I think that’s part of the support system as well.
Another thing I would like to point out is that LegalMatch is not just letting a hundred attorneys contact one lead. I think that helps a lot. You limit the demand so that it can match up with the supply. So I think that's very good too.
I've used other systems, but I would say that I would recommend LegalMatch for someone who's looking to build business. I would also recommend LegalMatch to proactive attorneys and those who are trying to get and close leads.
For someone who has the time and the ability to develop the leads, LegalMatch could be beneficial for them.
I worked with a lady named Karen. She was one of my support people. They are rotated over time. But she gave me a few tips and seven points based on the data that LegalMatch harvests.
One of these is, if the leads come in and the faster you call, the better chance you have to talk to them. That means you have a better chance to have clients retain you if you respond right away. That's the number one tip - to call right away. Then follow up with calls, texts and emails.
Sometimes you can't get hold of them right away so don't give up on it. That's the best advice for somebody new: be patient but also stay on top of the leads.
What I liked is how easy the client-matching and contact process is. I like how it notifies you right away when there's a new lead coming in. They email and text me that I have that set up so that I can call it right away. I like how they require the potential clients to fill out a profile so I can have a good idea of what they're looking for and what type of case they have.
I don't know right off the top what the actual numbers are but I would say that it's been profitable for me overall. I don't know the exact number of referrals. I would say per week I probably get three or four of these on average and that comes out to about 10-15 in a month on average.
I'd probably say I'm averaging one hire a month out of these referrals. It's a good way to develop a business. How the leads come in, that's the primary thing. It’s allowed me to pick and choose the cases I want to take from a lead source and then get good experience as well.
