For someone who has been in practice for more than 20 years, Ayn Traylor-Sadberry wants to share a few insights to lawyers who are just starting out. “Be prepared for court and always make sure that your client is also prepared. Prepare for them so that when you go in there, you’ve got your information. Always have all that you need that’s important. Be organized. Have the client ready and under control ”, she mentioned. 

Most people go ballistic when they’re angry, hurt, betrayed, and weighed down by a lot of stressful issues. When they are in the courthouse, they don’t have any control as they now must follow the rules of the court and the law. They often feel nervous and sometimes react badly. This is similar to having no control at all when we are in the hospital or in our doctor’s office. 

She  stressed, “Assure them that there’s no reason to get nervous because you have these all under control.” She tries to reassure her clients in every proceeding to feel confident that their cases will be capably handled. Being in the industry for a long time has taught her how to deal with legal proceedings as something that she can easily deal with. Nevertheless, she does all the necessary preparation for her clients regardless of whatever phase they are in a case.
