Incorporated in 1850, Contra Costa, California was once a rugged frontier land. Today the county has grown to become California’s ninth largest county, comprised of cities such as Antioch, Concord, Danville, El Cerrito, Martinez, Oakley, Pinole, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek.
