About Cobb County, Georgia

In the news: Attorneys in Cobb County were recently on both sides of an unusual legal dispute. Local taxpayers filed suit to prevent the Cobb County school board from giving its students and teachers laptops. The county decided to spend $25 million on providing laptops to a handful of high schools in a pilot program to determine if computers helped their students learn. Angry taxpayers thought it was a waste of money and sought to end the program in court. Cobb County eventually gave up on the idea.
