Spring Valley is a city in Clark County located just 2 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. Although Spring Valley is an unincorporated city, it has a large population of roughly 117,000 residents. In the mid 1970’s, a housing development company intended to create a housing development called Spring Valley. In 1981, the residents of the Spring Valley housing development successfully petitioned the Clark County Commission to name Spring Valley an unincorporated town within the county.
