Seaside is a city in Monterey County, California, with a population estimated at approximately 34,000 residents. It is home to California State University, Monterey Bay, as well as to the Bayonet and Black Horse golf courses, which host PGA Tour events. A popular local attraction of Seaside is Message Mountain, a large sand dune where people can write messages. In April 2010, Natalie Stringer, 34, was arrested in Marina near Seaside on suspicion of stabbing her boyfriend. Police responded to an emergency call and found a man stabbed inside a residence. Stringer fled when police arrived but was arrested upon her return. She was booked in Monterey County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence.
