Learn More About Oak Ridge, TN

Oak Ridge, TN is located approximately 25 miles outside of Nashville. It was established as a base for the Manhattan Project, the government project to develop the atomic bomb. Prior to the establishment, it was mainly rural. There are rumors about an eccentric resident that accurately foresaw production facilities in the city build 28 years after his death in 1915. He apparently told neighbors he saw visions of the city in the future and eerily described the buildings in detail, also noting that the buildings in the city would help win the greatest war. Once the Manhattan Project began, Oak Park was kept a secret and was not even listed on maps. After WWII, Oak Park was incorporated and a city counsel and city manger replaced the federal control. Actress Megan Fox was born in Oak Ridge.

Oak Ridge attorneys were recently on both sides of a case involving a stabbing suspect. The suspect was charged in Anderson County General Sessions Court, with stabbing a man for apparently no reason. Trial date has not yet been set.

Lawyers in Oak Ridgetake a diverse body of cases including but not limited to: bankruptcy, child custody, criminal DUI, personal injury, and immigration cases like visa and citizenship issues.

Tennessee’s judicial system is composed of municipal courts, trial/circuit courts, courts of appeal, and the state supreme court.
