Professional Overview
After attending what is now Lowell University in Massachusett, he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Eric went on to attend law school at the Irvine University School of Law and passed the Bar in 1979. Since then, he's built a successful practice. He now works out of Chula Vista, California and limits his practice to consumer law issues. Eric signed on with LegalMatch in June of 2005 and he began seeing new clients immediately. "I was very impressed with the detail that was provided about the clients," Says Eric. Attempting to build his practice even more, Eric also was once a member of Lawyers.com (the world's biggest legal referral service). In his own words, "I tried a competitor, Lawyers.com, and it stunk. With LegalMatch I was receiving clients in one day, and I was a member of Lawyers.com for 6 months and never got a nibble."
Eric truly understands and appreciates the differences between matching and referring-and the difference between billable hours and no clients. Eric remembers a case that he accepted within the first six months of being a LegalMatch Member Attorney, "A debt buyer company was suing an individual. I got a judgment and the case dismissed, all in 3 weeks. We then turned around and sued their attorneys and got a $13,500 settlement just 3 weeks later." Eric admits that you never really know the outcome of cases and quite often, the improbable will happen, but only when you dedicate yourself entirely to the case.
For those skeptical, Eric points to "the numbers" for reasons to join LegalMatch. "I can tell you exactly the math…in my first year I receive somewhere between 50-70 clients. This year, 2006, I've completed transactions with 25 clients and I have 53 active clients," remarks Eric. These numbers are very impressive but not at all unlikely for LegalMatch Member Attorney. According to Eric, you have to look at the ROI with any investment or growth opportunity. Eric boldly states, "Within in the first year, I had made 10x what I paid for my membership. I have 50 more cases that will average out to about $15,000 each."
Eric wishes LegalMatch was around when he first started his practice.. Now, Eric helps out other attorneys; just recently, he recommended LegalMatch to several colleagues. Eric's practice is busy and that's the way he likes it, but he never loses sight of each client. He says, "We take representation of our clients seriously. Every client is important to us; each situation is unique. We are passionate about getting the best result through the most aggressive representation possible. An underdog needs a pit bull for an attorney. That's our commitment to our clients."
