Professional Overview
"LegalMatch has been a real shot in the arm!" says Boulder, Colorado Family law Attorney Rebecca P. Before joining LegalMatch in mid-2005, she had been in practice for four years as a sole practitioner and, in her words, "my business was in a slump." Rebecca has excellent credentials as a specialist in family law, but her geographic location in Colorado spans rural districts that did not yield a high volume of cases. She wanted a more effective way to find clients who needed her skills but didn't know she was there. After speaking with a LegalMatch representative, and with a little help from her family, she says, "I took the 'leap of faith."

Almost immediately after joining LegalMatch, Rebecca received twenty potential cases to review. "Some were only seeking information," she says, "but I picked up three new, paying, clients in my first couple of weeks as a LegalMatch member."

And that was only the start of a new business surge. At present, Rebecca says, "my income has pretty much doubled." Rebecca's LegalMatch strategy has been to respond to a majority of potential cases sent by LegalMatch, then let the process take its course as clients read her responses and learn what she can offer. "I'm finding that most people who come in for my initial free consultation end up hiring me.

"I've had a great experience with LegalMatch consumers. By and large, they're very high-quality clients. And for those who don't have a lot of money, I do payment plans, to make the law accessible for those people too."

For Rebecca, "LegalMatch goes way beyond merely having a Web page. I had my own Web site for two and half years. It brought me exactly three clients—and even those came initially through the Bar Association!"

Rebecca feels that LegalMatch uses the Internet in a meaningful way. "It lets me enter a target market and meet potential clients. I can get to know people, whether they're ready to hire right now or just need information—which can also lead to a client relationship down the line.

"I would absolutely recommend LegalMatch to other attorneys. The investment easily met my expectations, and it's been a godsend for my business."
