Professional Overview Over the past twenty-seven years, notable solo
practitioner and former Executive Director (General Counsel) Jonathan
R. has handled cases ranging from cross-border corporate acquisitions
to commercial agreements, both domestic and international, as well
as an entire gambit of real estate matters. The alternative dispute
resolution and negotiation expert has also represented clients as
diverse as teacher’s unions and movie studios. “One Studio
Use Agreement stands out,” recalls Jonathan, “as one of
the most interesting agreements I’ve ever prepared. It actually
allowed the studio to literally destroy, with a chain saw, the sets
of a film company if it failed to remove them before a certain date
and to charge them for the cost of removing the sets. This was done
to protect a major film that had entered into a very lucrative lease
agreement with the Studio. It became known at the Studio as the ‘Chain
Saw’ Agreement.” For Jonathan, not every case is as peculiar
as this one, but because of his ability to expertly handle a wide
range of cases, Jonathan has become both a trusted presence and a
voice of reason when negotiations reach their most complex and heated
state.
Since signing on with LegalMatch in August 2003, the Boston area attorney
has engaged over a dozen clients. That Jonathan is one of our most
active attorneys should come as no surprise. His perfect approval
rating is backed by his client testimonials; they repeatedly cite
his willingness to go out of his way to accommodate their needs, including
offering late and weekend appointments. One client even noted that
Jonathan responded to his case offer in less than an hour on a holiday!
“I take pride in protecting my clients' interests while still
get the transaction done efficiently and effectively. My philosophy
is good lawyers make their clients good deals.” From the looks
of it, whether the case is common or a bit out of the ordinary, Jonathan’s
simple approach has proven to be a recipe for success.
